What’s happening in the Vineyard

Ripening (Maturation)!  Once veraison occurs (when the grapes turn from green to purple), we wait. The growth phase is now complete, and over the course of about 8 weeks, including the month of September, the grapes’ only job is to ripen. They slowly increase in sugar and decrease in acidity. This is when those flavor and aroma compounds you love in our wine develop. Harvest is up next!

We made a new wine.

Two years, countless tastings, and many spirited discussions led to our next masterpiece. We literally could not agree on a name, so we had to simply call it The Argument.

James Kholamian, Nancy & Garo’s oldest son, designed the lively and fun label, and we absolutely love how it turned out. We can’t wait to start sharing this wine with you! The Argument will be available for purchase mid-October, so keep your eyes peeled for the email announcement.

This wine is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, to equal 100% delicious.

Speaking of new wine,

our release party is coming up Friday, October 10th!

You will be the first to taste both The Argument and our latest vintage of our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2023.

We’ll let you debate which one you like best. (Spoiler alert, they’re both incredible.)

Pairing of the Month

Film: Bottle Shock

Fall is officially here, which means more time spent being cozy at home curled up with a good book or watching a classic movie…and of course a glass of Adruni wine to go with!

This month we recommend Bottle Shock. This 2008 film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and is based on the TRUE story of the early days of California wine making and the now infamous blind Paris wine tasting of 1976, which arguably (see what we did there) changed the course of California wines forever.
